PLEASE - make sure your body protectors comply BEFORE you arrive at the Area qualifier.You MUST NOT get on a horse at the qualifier UNTIL you have had your body protector checked. New standards here... * FOTH qualifier cancelled at the last minute The FOTH qualifier was cancelled early on Sunday morning and luckily none of our competitors had set out. The weather conditions dictated the cancellation. We will now be sending an Area 21 Novice Team, Intermediate Individual and Novice Pairs directly to the Championships, where they will compete as Area 21. The riders will be chosen from each club that had entered the respective classes in the FOTH qualifier. * *Winter Championships success* A fab weekend of competition was had at the Winter Championships at Hartpury 2012, the weather was cool and the competition was hot! Well done to Cwmaman who had a great weekend, but also to Gower who aquitted themselves well, and to West Wales - you all did Area 21 proud.

Laurie Punnett was Chairman of Gower Riding Club for 25 years. He was Area 21 Representative and Official Steward for many years before also taking on the role of British Riding Clubs Chairman. He did a huge amount for the BRC movement and Area 21 and is greatly missed.
